Great atmosphere. Definitely coming back. Great for a family/friends get together or birthday celebration! Nice margaritas btw although michelada was awful. -

I was in San Diego for business. A bunch of us decided to go to old town for dinner. We found this spot. It was taco Tuesday. We ordered off the happy hour menu. Plus we got cocktails.
Chips and salsa were delicious. Tacos were delicious but the tortillas were a little thick. Otherwise very good. The cocktail was fantastic.
Service was friendly and attentive. We didn't need to wait long for a table. Overall it's a great place to bring a large group. -

I was exploring the Old Town and Cafe Coyote seemed like a good place to have lunch. They offer a lot of indoor and outdoor seating with very colorful decor.
Their menu was pretty extensive, but I quickly decided on El Coyote Azul margarita and Shrimp Tacos. I also got complimentary chips and salsa, as well as free bean queso dip with yelp check-in. My margarita, while a generous size, tasted watered down and simply blah. The shrimp tacos came with rice and beans, and tasted pretty good. The jalapeno sauce the tacos came with wasn't spicy at all, so don't let that stop you from ordering them. The bean queso dip would so not be worth paying for, so good thing it came free with the yelp check-in. I didn't even finish it. The complimentary chips were stale, so didn't really eat those either.
Service was friendly and attentive enough. Average experience overall. -

Old town SD where there's pretty much Mexican dining left and right. We chose this place out of a family's recommendation and the place didn't disappoint. They have a multitude of rooms (this place is huge) so Friday night walk in with a party of eight was a breeze! Fare was delish and portions were huge. Drinks are also good!
I'd say worth a visit when in Old town SD!
